Cannes: A dream that did not come true.

With the receipt of an official mail from the management of the festival Director's Fortnight refusing Monitio's participation on the festival and with the announcement of the official program of Festival de Cannes a long and impatient wait for the results is over.

Hard to accept for the producer Jonáš Rejman, but Monitio will not be screened on either of the festivals.

Being now completely out of budget, according to a crash in the computer system and the expenses for the data recovery, the producer hopes, that the line of last month's bad news will soon end.

Attempts for a cooperation with 3 different orchestras on the recording of the score failed. The production is put on hold until an investor will be found whose financial help could allow to realize the score recording and the project to continue.

"After all the efforts in the last 16 months, producing Monitio almost alone from the scratch with the attempt to bring an independent short film to a distribution, it is hard to accept, that the task is not becoming easier, even so close to the end.
Thanks to the enormous help of my crew and my partners, it was possible to reach this point, so there is no reason for complains in the end. I have to keep on trying. There is always some kind of a way, one just have to find it in the dark," explained Rejman.
